I’ve been playing music for over 25 years and whenever I play for people there is at least one person that tells me they wish they could play as well. I’m always telling others to get an instrument and practice five to ten minutes a day. Learning music is a slow process. There is no need to rush to the end when part of the fun is learning new things.
After all this time I will find periods where I keep playing what I know. That’s when I look for new things to learn. When it comes to music, learning really is the fun part because its like discovering something for the first time when we were kids. So, let’s have some fun!
In the coming months I’ll be adding to the series I call, “Let’s Play Music.” We’ll start off with some basics so that even if you don’t know anything about music, you will have somewhere to begin. Then I’ll add one concept at a time to what we’ve already learned. This way you can go at your own pace and have something to look forward to in the future.
I hope you join me in this adventure of learning by subscribing. You can subscribe for FREE and get quite a bit of content, while paid subscribers get full access to all my work. While many articles these days are short, I like to talk a lot about a topic so that you can learn as much as you want at your own pace.
Articles for this series will go out on the 1st and 15th of each month. Feel free to keep coming back and check out my Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/musictheoryforeveryone/
